Neev helped an Indian startup build the first version of a corporate social networking platform with rich enterprise-class collaboration tools. The platform allows the workforce of companies share ideas, collaborate virtually and grow. The platform helps conduct focused group discussions, break barriers of hierarchy and lower attrition. Neev was able to meet the aggressive go-to-market strategy of the client. The platform was made highly scalable and was tested for handling huge traffic.
Started by Vivek Paul, Ex-vice chairman of Wipro’s software unit and a founding member of TPG Growth, in the year 2008, KineticGlue Online Communities Pvt Ltd., is a Bangalore-based company that owns Kinetic Glue, a cloud-based secure enterprise social network that helps employees connect, collaborate and be more efficient. KineticGlue was acquired by the US-based BMC Software in August 2013. Kinetic Glue has helped hundreds of employees at companies like L&T; Infotech, Dell India, Yes Bank and Oracle among others collaborate and communicate internally.
Social networking is used by millions to share ideas, network and communicate. The client required Neev to help create a social media platform for large enterprises having a huge workforce. The platform had to provide executives, partners, and corporations the capability to collaborate, stay connected and grow. The client wanted a technology partner who understood the founder’s vision, have a deep knowledge of the Web 2.0 ecosystem and of how employees engage and socialize online. This was critical in arriving at the best possible solution to the client’s needs. The social networking application also had to be a responsive one with superior performance.
Although Neev came onboard as a QA partner, it provided critical inputs for the development, testing, and support of the product. Neev’s scope of work involved development, quality assurance, release management, infrastructure support and customer support. It carried out the enhancement and maintenance of the application and provided inputs on usability best practices. Neev also supported the client for their IT server support operations, backup, security, monitoring and helps the customer with problem and incident management.Load balancing architecture was implemented for the servers to ensure a highly scalable model. Solution was delivered with a very fast time-to-market. Planned functional quality assurance (QA) and testing activities were carried out. In addition to functional testing, Neev also helped the customer with load testing, performance testing and optimization. User traffic was monitored and simulated. The QA and testing activities were carried out with complete focus on delivering a high quality product to the market. Neev provided email-based customer support to the end users of KineticGlue by actively responding to and incorporating feedback from them in a systematic manner, during the development process. The application was deployed on AWS cloud.
