Neev designed and developed an online gifting store for a Pune, India-based start-up based on Magento Enterprise Edition. The store is integrated with PayU and CCAvenue payment gateways and SMS gateway for order fulfillment through the COD option. The store has a custom-built feature to automatically identify a shipping carrier based on the location of the customer. Neev has automated the order life cycle process and enabled the client to generate multiple invoices with a single click. This saves time and effort for the client. The store has also been automated to follow up on abandoned and failed transactions with customers and payment gateways over email. With a unique gift finder feature, customers can search for gifts based on occasions, recipients, age group, price range, etc. Neev deployed the store on the cloud and also provides support for managing servers. The store currently receives over 6000 visitors and over 2600 orders per month. On an average, about 50 orders are placed daily. The average basket price is in the range of Rs. 500/- to Rs. 1200/-.
Giftease Technologies is a Pune-based start-up co-founded by Vivek Mathur and Ashish Chandani. Giftease launched their online gifting store in early 2013. Giftease’s mission is to make giving gifts as delightful as receiving them.
The client had a vision of building an online gift store. Neev helped make it a reality. The store had to make gifting a delightful experience and finding gifts an easy task. The client required Neev to not only design and develop the store but also extend support for server management. The store needed superior performance and automatic invoice generation and shipment. Giftease observed many cases in India where due to poor internet connectivity, payment gateway issues, longer page load times etc, customers abandoned the shopping cart half way through the shopping process. Because of this, the client wanted to automatically follow up with such customers and increase the conversion rate. Automation was also required in the process of coordinating with the payment gateway for pending payments.
Neev’s scope involved Requirement analysis, Design of the UI/UX, Development, Deployment and continuous support. Adhering to client’s requirement, Neev chose Magento Enterprise Edition for the store. MVC design pattern was used. The store was designed using a custom theme. API integration with payment gateways like CCAvenue and PayU was carried out. The store was integrated with MySQL DB. To automate invoice generation and shipment, a customized automated order lifecycle process was added to the store which lets multiple invoices to be generated and multiple shipments to be made with a single click.To prevent customers dropping out of the sales cycle during the shopping process, customized algorithms were included for automatically following up with them through emails and also auto-follow up with payment gateways for failed transactions on a regular basis. Customized algorithms were also included to determine delivery and shipment dates based on location and date of placing order. A wide array of payment options were offered to the customer on the checkout page like debit card, credit card, net banking and also cash-on-delivery (COD). The COD option was made more secure with a captcha and a mobile verification process. The store was integrated with an SMS gateway for the COD order fulfillment process. The client is provided greater control over the look and operations of the store with an admin panel. The admin panel enables the client to manage the complete website like banners, messages, emails and shop-by features. To ease the process of deployment and server management, the store was set up on AWS cloud. Neev’s solution enabled the client to generate customized reports on the store’s performance from time-to-time.
